Liverpool’s Main Stand officially opened on 9 September 2016. The redeveloped stand has been transformed into one of the largest all seater single stand’s in European football. The works entailed the construction of the stands pile caps, slab foundations and support columns which included fixing over 700 tonnes of steel and 28500m2 of mesh reinforcement in the upper floors.
